Mandan’s Walmart opened its doors today, marking a major change to Mandan’s retail landscape.
Even at its impressive 157,000 square-feet footprint, Mandan’s Walmart is slightly downsized from the traditional Supercenter format. Like its Bismarck neighbors, the Mandan Walmart boasts a Subway, auto center, deli, and bakery.
Not only is Walmart the city’s first major discount department store, it is also one of the largest retailers to ever locate a store within Mandan city limits. The store is located just off I-94 near Seven Seas Hotel.
Its announcement has sparked major development nearby, including the city’s first new hotel in thirty years. It is the third Walmart to open in the region.
