This strip mall, once housing Papa Johns & Hollywood Video, will soon be empty.
It wasn’t all that long ago that Bismarck was flooded with video rental stores, from national to local. Those stores have slowly disappeared over the years, and that trend continues with yet another video rental store shuttering its doors in the region.
Hollywood Video, located in a strip mall adjacent to Runnings Farm & Fleet on South Washington Street, is closing its doors. Hollywood Video is owned by national chain, Movie Gallery, who previously closed its Mandan location just two months ago.
Hollywood Video’s departure will leave the small strip center, which currently occupies it, an empty box – as its neighbor, Papa Johns Pizza, recently closed upon consolidating operations out of its Northbrook Mall location.
