2010 Census: Bismarck Grew 10.3% To 61,272; Remains 2nd Largest City in ND

2010 Census results indicate that Bismarck’s population grew by 10.3% over the past decade, to 61,272 citizens. It has remained North Dakota’s second largest city, under Fargo’s 105,549 citizens. Burleigh County itself outgrew Bismarck’s rate, gaining 17.1% to 81,308 citizens.

By comparison, the state’s population, as a whole, gained 4.7% over the same period.

West Fargo saw the biggest percentage gain; an impressive 73% over the past decade.
