Space Aliens Grill & Bar is planning to open a second, smaller location in downtown Bismarck inside the space recently occupied by Mr. Delicious on 3rd Street. The restaurant is said to primarily focus on Space Aliens’ barbecue menu items.
Space Aliens was founded in 1997 by Mort Bank and has since expanded to 6 total locations across North Dakota and Minnesota. A 7th location, in Blaine, MN, closed in 2010.
Mr. Delicious was owned by Bank’s son, Aaron Bank. The space is well known for housing Drumstick Cafe from 1963-2001.
