Voters overwhemingly have voted in favor of the $86.5 million school bond that includes the construction of two new elementary schools and one new high school, in addition to improvements to existing facilities.
13,771 total votes were cast, with just over 85% of them voting in favor of the bond.
Bismarck Public Schools is the state’s largest school district and has seen impressive enroollment growth for years since even before the oil boom officially began.
The last elementary school constructed in Bismarck was Sunrise Elementary in 2009. Century High School, which was the last high school constructed, was built in 1976.
