Mandan residents are on deck to decide on constructing a new elementary school. If approved, the new elementary school will be built in northwest Mandan for about $12.5 million, which amounts to about a $4/month tax increase on a $100,000 home.
Like its Bismarck neighbor, Mandan has been seeing continuous growth in enrollment numbers and officials believe there is a demand for an additional school.
Mandan residents will cast their votes this coming Tuesday, September 25. More information on the proposed school bond, along with voting information, is available here: http://bit.ly/SdQxBS
This past week, residents residing within the Bismarck Public School district voted overwhelmingly in favor of a school bond that includes constructing three new schools.
