Located at 2207 E Main Ave, this building originally housed Bismarck’s first McDonalds Restaurant, which opened in November 1971. At first, the restaurant offered only counter pickup service. It was expanded in 1973 to add indoor seating, and in 1980 to add a drive-through. It was replaced by the McRock Cafe in 1992 at the corner of 7th & Main.
The $90,000 building replaced Blue Ribbon Hatchery and a house that were formerly on the site.
As of 2010 – when this photo was taken – Krumm Associates occupied the building.
