Update (7/3/2014): Ground has been broken on the Minot complex.
Bismarck-based Saint Alexius Medical Center has unveiled plans to construct a two-story, 67,575 square foot medical complex in Minot. At a cost of $19 million, the Minot campus will boast 40 primary care rooms and 20 specialty care exam rooms when it opens next summer. There are future development plans as well.
The new complex will be located at the intersection of Landmark Circle and 21st Ave NW.
Saint Alexius has already maintained a Minot clinic for a number of years.
Founded by the Benedictine Sisters in 1885, Saint Alexius was the first hospital in Dakota Territory. Today, the main Bismarck hospital is the largest in the region, with 306 beds.
