The owner of the Iverson Building in Mandan, Al Leingang, is partnering with local developer Loran Galpin to renovate the historic building into office space. The Iverson Building is located at the intersection of Collins Avenue and Main Street in Mandan.
Built in 1917 as a food warehouse, the Iverson Building has sat vacant more than a decade. The building became known as the Iverson Building when purchased by John Iverson in 1953, who used the building as an electrical and lighting supply warehouse and distributor until 1992.
Loran Galpin is known for several other notable development projects in downtown Bismarck, including renovating the American Bank Center building and restoring Bismarck’s historic Bismarck Grocery Company building, now known as Civic Square. More recently, Galpin is developing a new office building, also for American Bank Center, on the site of the former Dakota Twin Theater at the corner of Rosser Avenue and 4th Street. Galpin has also announced intentions to renovate the historic Cowan Building.
