About Randy
I have been developing and managing websites since 1998. My background also includes more than seven professional years in the news industry, as well as additional experience in marketing, management, and real estate.
My passion for Bismarck – especially its rich history – stems from my family residing here since 1893… when Bismarck was barely twenty years old. My Great-Great Grandfather, Nils H. Lovin, owned a successful contracting business that was responsible for constructing many of the buildings – commercial and residential alike – between the 1890s and 1940s. Nils also served terms in the City Commission and in the Planning Commission.
Some of Lovin’s most notable projects included Saint Mary’s Church, the Wards Building, most regional Standard Oil stations, and many buildings at Fort Lincoln (now UTTC).
It is these strong historical roots that serve the underpinning of my passion.
