The Manhattan Building is an iconic office building located at 1022 E Divide Avenue. It was constructed in 1965 for Northern National Life Insurance, which was founded locally in late 1956. It merged with the Manhattan firm in 1978, but didn’t become Manhattan National Life Insurance until in 1982. The following year, the company relocated most of its operations to New York.
The pillared 18,400-square-foot structure contains two-and-a-half-stories. Since 2002, Alliance Real Estate has been headquartered at the building, among other entities.
