The Hinckley Building was a historic building located at 219 4th Street. It housed Holmboe Photo Studio and Grand Theater (later Rex Theater, Rialto Theater) in its early days. In later days it was home to The Knights of Columbus, Roosevelt Bar, and Reff Furniture (today’s Conlin’s Furniture).
The building was built in 1913 and destroyed by fire on December 25, 1948. The fire was described as the “worst fire in three years” and took four hours to get under control.
