In a stunning move, Sam’s Club is closing numerous locations across the country seemingly without notice, including its store in Moorhead, Minnesota.
The affected stores have already been removed from its website, which does not appear to include Bismarck.
Several news outlets are reporting that upwards of 60+ Clubs have or will be closing, roughly 10% of its total U.S. locations. One report even suggests 260 closures.
On Twitter, Sam’s Club has been responding with a general statement that reads:
“After a thorough review of our existing portfolio, we’ve decided to close a series of clubs and better align our locations with our strategy. Closing clubs is never easy and we’re committed to working with impacted members and associates through this transition.”
