Mandan’s Thrifty White store will soon be relocating to a brand-new store on the north side of town, near the new Walmart. According to a KX News article, the new location will be smaller and shift a larger focus on its core pharmacy operations.
Mandan’s Thrifty White, which is considerably larger than Bismarck’s store, has been in its current location for a number of years. The store is located directly next to the former Central Market store, which recently shuttered. The departure of these two major stores will certainly leave a noticeable absence in Mandan’s downtown.
Founded in 1884 in Jamestown, ND, Thrifty White is an employee-owned regional pharmacy chain with 86 corporate locations in six states. It also holds affiliations with 93 other pharmacies. The company has held a presence in both Bismarck and Mandan for decades.
The move is expected this summer.
